You have come to the website of the Societas Hermetica Ultraorientalis (S.H.U.).
As "ultras" our goal is the ultimate, knowing that our progress must be measured in the pedestrian steps of the ordinary life.
Our Mission
We are a teaching order devoted to the preservation and dissemination of those jems of wisdom which have been sown throughout
the world as symbols from the divine worlds. This symbolist view of reality has sometimes been refered to as "Hermetics" although
that term may also be used in a more narrow sense to designate those who receive the "Hermetic Corpus" a cannon of writings
which was composed in ancient Alexandria, Egypt. As universal symbolists we are also Kabbalists in the
root sense of that word, that is "receivers" and we further wish to transmit the same. This site serves that purpose.
